A "quick" bass amp....
I was thinking of buying a bass amp for a (very) few gigs, and maybe just to have around the music room.
As I own a DPC750 with TubeFex, is there any reason I can't buy just a bass extension speaker and use that with the DPC/TBF combo?
Anybody try this....any danger of incompatability?

Should be just fine, a speaker is a speaker as far as the power amp is concerned. You can also run the amp in bridge (mono) power amp mode and get more headroom. You can also still run the amp stereo with one side of the DPC750 unconnected. Transistor amps generally work well with no load. A tube amp will not tolerate an open circuit on the output! Keep oin mind the power output of the DPC750 an jsut do not over power the bass cabinet.
[This message was edited by Ken Fox on 01 December 2005 at 08:07 AM.]
