Session500 with ToneModKit settings question

Post by Michael Dene »

I've just fitted the factory Tone Mod Kit to my Session 500 and am surprised at the Tone settings I have ended up using.

I'm not complaining, (it sounds really clean and the treble has a degree of bite and fullness which I was hoping for).

However to achieve this I am running the ..
<font face="monospace" size="3"><pre>
Bass at 15
Paramid +4 with shift at 800
High -9
Presence -9
Reverb 6
</pre></font>

If I cut the Bass at all it sounds tinny, and I can't believe the amount of cut on the High and Presence.

Are these settings normal to achieve a good sound with the ModKit?

My settings previously were very much like the various settings posted here on the forum.

If you have the Tone Mod Kit fitted, what settings do you use?

I would go back and doublecheck your mod kit installation. That is not normal.

Thanks for the info.
I didn't think all was as it should be.
I'll give 'em a call first thing after the weekend.

Bump

....to ask if anyone can suggest what may be the cause, so as I don't sound totally ignorant tomorrow when I see the man who installed the kit?? Image

....and should the settings be approximately the same as before the kit was fitted?? Image
