High or Low input on the 112 ?

I always use the high input on my 112, just curious as to how many use the Low input ?
Just seems I cant get enough punch with the Low input, I know its a matter of preference, just curious.

Richard i use the low input on my 112,s. I go thru my pro-fex then to low side on both amp,s.==Jim harper

I normally (always) use the High input on amps. You only need to use the low if you are overdriving and distorting and with standard "instrument level" that is not a problem.

Richard, the low input is there for a reason. If you experience distortion or if you have active pickups, I suggest that you use the low gain input.

I was at a jam a while ago, and someone said to try his Zum through my amp (Session 500) as he couldn't get a good tone from it through his amp.
I innocently plugged the Zum into the Hi input, as I do for every other steel, and the output from the Zum pickup (Lawrence humbucker) fried my amp.
My Session 500 was completely ruined.

A pickup, even a defective one, would not blow the input of an amp, even if the pickup was completely shorted. The input is short protected.

If the amp developed a problem with his guitar plugged in it was coincidental.
