Peavey Co and Employees OK in Meridian?

Post by Eric West »

Here's an article about Peavey.

I'm hoping that all are OK as reported, and that all the employees and their families are OK.

It's going to be a tough go for a lot of companies, employees et al.

My best wishes for them.

I talked to Mike Brown Thursday night and he told me that he didn't realize how bad it was until he got to St Louis and watched television - they didn't know what was going on with no power!!! Also Bill Stafford told me that his neighbors were staying in his house while they were in St Louis - because there house was gone - He lives on the coast

Right, that's about hurricane George in Sept. of '99. Meridian is over 50 miles from the coast; but it was in the path and received tropical storm winds and tornadoes, and possibly hurricane force winds. The power was knocked out in all of that part of the state, and may still be out. Has anyone heard anything about Peavey operations?

Hattiesburg area received 125 mph wind for 4 hours straight. Meridian probably did close to the same.

We're OK. Meridian took a good beating and we're approximately 150 miles from the coast. We 120% better than the people South of us. I just worry about the folks on the coast. Please contribute to the Red Cross.

Thanks for asking though.
