laptop AC adapter noise
I'm using a laptop with band in a box to practice with. How can I eliminate the noise through my amp caused by the power supply from the laptop?

Andy, is the noise a hum,or hash(buzzing/crackling)?
You should not be hearing any noise. First, make sure you are using a good cable between the computer and the amp. If there are any adapters in the audio connections, make sure they are good. Is there a battery in the computer? If the computer AC adapter is not terminated by a battery, you could get noise.
If it is a 60hz hum you will have to eliminate ground loops. That is another area to explore if the noise is a hum and cables do not correct the problem. Let us know what you find and post the info...........JD
