Fane Speakers
Is anyone using a Fane 15" speaker in their amp? I bought a new Evans SE 200 a few years ago and they were of the opinion that this was a great speaker. I just wondered if it is still offered. I thought it had a nice sound, but replaced it with one of my old JBL D130F's that are in the closet.

I have a Fane 12" in my Deluxe. It is a fantastic speaker !
But (and its a big but ) Fane speakers are far from consistant. They seem to have gone through constant ownership and manufacturing changes over the years. I have a Fane 12" in a Twin over in the UK and it is junk.
I like the sound of English speakers. I will replace the crap utah and fane 12's in my twin with those new Celestion neo whatchamacallit fancy light magnet ones next time I get over there.
If the Fane is a good one there is nothing better.

Hi Willis. Fanes are pretty good, but nothing compared to the Black Widow 1501-4. They will not hold up as well as a BW. They simply can't, by design. Too bad Evans won't install new BW in their SE series. That would be a great arrangement!
