JBL , 1970's, Century L100 speakers

I have come across a pair of these speakers.
I know they are studio monitor type enclosures, for the home market. Does anybody know anything about the 12" speakers
inside? How much power (watts)? Good sound?
Anyone have an old manual? Thanks, Joe

These are fantastic speakers. I still have the pair I bought in the 70s. They have the 123A drivers in them. These are hi fi drivers and cannot be used in musical instrument applications. These L100s bring from $200-500 depending on condition. The are VERY efficient speakers so you can drive them with any good amp from 50-100 watts.

There are some famous pics of the Grateful dead using Macintosh amps and a couple hundred of these L100 speakers for a PA system.

I have had a pair of these since high school. Great speakers. At one time these were quite common for studio control room monitors. Mine still sound amazing even after 30 years. I am thinking of restoring them to original condition. Anyone had any experience with the JBL factory regarding restorations?
