Goodrich H10K problem

Post by Keith Cordell »

My Goodrich H10 K is losing volume when I put it all the way forward. If I bring it back just a hair it comes back, and the volume is just lowered to barely audible- not a total signal loss. Any ideas?

Sounds like a bad pot to me.

That was my first thought but a bad pot would usually just go quiet. This one you still get a signal, it's just sharply reduced.

Perhaps just a dirty pot, then. Maybe all the crud got pushed into one spot, at the end of the sweep.

If it's not the battery, it's most likely the pot.
