Webb input mod question
My Webb has a HI and a LO input. I am curious
to know how simple, or how complicated it would be, to turn the LO input into a real
separate input. Anybody has an idea? rob

Rob, I don't think it would be a good idea. A technician can add a gain control for a second input and couple it to the HI input. It would be necessary to couple the two pots through two isolation resistors. This would lower the gain of the original input and possibly affect the tone. In my opinion, your best solution would be a small external active mixer.......JD

John, when i plug a guitar into LO, it does
indeed allready affect both instruments tone and volume, with steel into HI. I am kind of
hoping i can avoid using an external mixer, i.e., having the "mixing" take place after
HI and LO, i wouldn't need any volume or gain controls to match the two instruments.

Rob, in order to connect both jacks to the same circuit in the amp, it is desirable to use isolation resistors to keep the two instruments from loading the other instruments signal line. The ideal way is to add a preamp for the second input. It is easier to do this with a mixer or stereo preamp.
You could go inside the amp, disconnect the wire from the low input jack and connect a wire between the two inputs. You could see how or if it affects the signal. I think it will change the sound when you plug in the second instrument.........JD
