John - very interesting. Do you use this in the studio? It looks like a standalone program, correct? Wish that it were a dxi plug for studio use... Perhaps it's launchable "outside" of DAW software and still respond to input sig from a sound card channel. I wonder if it supports multi-channel sound cards, and multiple cards...

I also thought the "stomp box" strobe tuner looked interesting for general outside gigging (found at http://www.strobostomp.com/ )

I got the ad from Peterson about that software package.

But, how many of us carry a PC to gigs?

This is wonderful software! I have it at home and am able to tune from across the room with various intruments simply by using the microphone at my PC.

I think it is a great idea. I use the Strobostomp, and this compliments it. I looked at the larger tuners, but they were too bulky. Recently, one of the forum members sold off a Strobostomp because it lacked bench reference features. Now, I can use the Strobostomp, and have reference features. In addition, all of the functions can be easily upgraded. I suspect if they wanted, the same software could be written for a PDA.
