When loading your car to go to a job you may forget your bar and picks, you may forget your volume pedal,Heck you may be running late and forget to set your amp or steel in the back of your car or truck, but believe me once you get a black box before anything else is in your car you will check and double check to make sure you've got your black box.

It's $300 of sweet and versatile tone if you play through a solid state amp. I've tried it in dozens of contexts, but find it is best immediately after the pickup with the signal sent through the black box to a volume pedal(Hilton type seems to work best) I have tried this with Peavey, Fender and Evans solid state amps and find that it works best with humbucker pickups (George L models and Bill Laurence models.
You can put a good quality stomp box tuner in the line (Petersen or Boss), but don't put any effects, particularly any sort of signal sucking overdrive or dstortion pedals. I suggest that you get an "ABY box"and keep these signals separate.

Hi Brad
Just got my SGBB from Dag in Norway - what a great fine clear and rich tone it makes - don't want to play without it - looking forward to use it on my next gig.
Hope you got my e-mail.

Just used the BB last nigt in San Francisco .. it smooths out the high's and warms up the whole sound really beutifully. I used it with the NV112
and a digitech 2101 in the post loop.
great .. great .. wonderfull .. It will be in my rig from now on.

Got mine last week. No gigs until next month, but sounds great here at home.
My Profex II died some time ago. Tried different effects units, but was not that happy with them. Too much noise.
Now I'm trying the Blackbox with a couple of stomp boxes. The effects are simple to use and the blackbox added the warmth I was looking for, and no noise. Very happy so far. Thanks Brad.
