Fun with Scammers
Ok, this is pretty funny. I like messing with these internet scammers when they try to mess with me. I got this sketchy email requesting info on my Gretsch steel amp for sale on the forum. These are the scammers that try to send you a giant fake cashier's check and have you send them back a huge amount of money after taking out your "payment" only to find that the cashier's check was phony. Here's the exchange that went on:
From "Rita Ronald" to me:
"Good Day Sir/Ma !!!!!!
I saw your Gretsch (Sho-Bud) Nashville Pro amp , on advert for sale and am very much interested in purchasing it from you. However i will really appreciate it if you can provide me all this information regarding to what am willing to buy from such as:-
{1}THE PRESENT CONDITION ?
{2}YOUR LAST SELLING PRICE FOR IT ?
{3}INCLUDING THE PICS IF ONLY AVALIABLE..?
I look forward to receive all this information from you so that we can proceed further on it.
Best Regards,
Rita Ronald....................."

I replied:
" {1}THE PRESENT CONDITION ?
Most Excellent.
{2}YOUR LAST SELLING PRICE FOR IT ?
$350 + shipping
{3}INCLUDING THE PICS IF ONLY AVALIABLE..?
No pic's currently available.
I look forward to receive all this information from you so that we can proceed further on it.
Best Regards,
Rita Ronald.....................
Where are you located?
Brad"

It was clearly a scam at this point so I replied:
"So Rita, did you want the 4-ohm flux capacitor or the 8-ohm flux capacitor. It depends upon which turnbuckle your instrument uses. Does your harmonic regulator require 4 or 8 ohms? With that information I can properly set the internal dip switches for best compatibility.
Brad"
