Fender Cyber Amps

Post by Tony Dingus »

I know there's three models, the Cyber Twin, Cyber Deluxe and the Cyber Champ. Anyone tried one for steel? On stage or in the studio , mic'ed or direct? I'm thinkin
about trying out the Champ. Thanks for any info.

Hi Tony,
I owned a Cybertwin for a few years and found it trmendous at low volume but lacking headroom for steel. It was great for six string guitars. It was rated at 2x65watts,I think the champ may be a bit smaller.
I hope this helps
Best regards
Billy

Hey Tony,
I've been running my Cyber-twin with my Nashville 1000 and having some pretty fair results. I've yet to take them both out to gig but I'm thinking it might work out pretty well that way! I'll let you know!

You might want to read user reviews on these amps at Harmony Central:

I think if you do a search on the forum you can find my settings for the CyberTwin. I would post a link but don't know how. In summary, I kinda like mine.

I believe from past experiences that you will find no one to repair the amp. It is all digital and Fender only have a few references to repair the product. I know a guy who has one and took a year to find the repair person qualified to repair it. Good Luck.
