Session 500

Post by Robbie Bossert »

How many of you guys and gals are currently using a Session 500? I just picked one up with the Lamay mod installed. I'm gonna' use it in conjunction with my Peavey Profex II. Any suggestion on exactly how to get these things in line? I've been pretty much an out of the pedal, in to the rack, out of the rack, and in to the amp type player. It sure looks like there are alot of toys to play with on this amp compared to others I've owned.

Well don't get carried away; the toys are cheesy but the AMP ROCKS!

I went from a Morley to a Hilton and so now I bypass the 'pedal patch'. It's gtr>pedal>midiverb>amp-input. The effects loop is fine but since I double on Tele>Realtube-preamp>Quadraverb>2nd-amp-input I don't use the loop (usually).

In fact I like the amp so much I bought another a few years ago. The Peavey mod is SO @$$KICKIN' that I'm gonna get the other one done too! Image

You have one great sounding amp. Try these settings which Jeff Newman had in a newsletter. Works for me!

Pre 3.5
Low +11
Paramid -6
Shift 800

Cool guys. Thanks for the feedback. I've been playing around with the amp now for a few hours. I'm already diggin' it. I'll give the settings a shot. II've been mostly playing it using the Lloyd Green settings in the ProFex. Very cool thus far!
