Volume Pot Box
I play through a POD XT, Mono into a Vibrosonic. The clean sounds on the pod are great. The dirty ones are tougher to get. However- I tried a second cable from my active VolPed right into the reverb channal, bypassing the POD. This reduces all effects and offers the option of a "straight through tone". So the question is how to control (reduce) the volume on that direct to amp signal. Female in and out with a great pot in between. I thought a match box-type clip on Pot would work. Does anyone make a good small box of this sort, or have an empty match box with a clip on that I could use to make this. I would rather just buy it. Any ideas???

Buck, If you use a pot only,it will affect the other line also, by placing a load on it.
It seems to me that you would need an active mixer(hi impedance) to do this. If your amp had 2 channels with 2 gain controls, you would be in business.
Some players who want to blend two sounds, use a stereo amp or two amps.....JD

The signal is split at an active volume pedal and after a matchbox. One line goes into the POD the other goes directly into channel Two (reverb) of my Fender. This sounds great with a slight phasing problem which actually adds character. Will the pot still load after the impedance matchers? However, even if it does, it is not critical. This is for effect. Does anyone make such a box or have such a box? (I am try to avoid a dopey little Radioshack project.) Anyone?

Buck, the volume pedals I have seen, have both outputs tied together. If your matchbox is in the second line where you want to place the pot, it should be ok, in my opinion, if the pot is between the matchbox and the amp.
I have seen an adaptor that had a 1/4" plug on one end, 2 jacks on the other end and 2 pots inside with thumbwheel knobs. If you could locate that item you could use one side to do the job. I don't remember where I saw it, possibly Radio Shack....JD
