I use one and it sounds awesome!

Lots of headroom and bass response.

Lee:
I've played thru many amps throughout my years, and currently play thru a Fender Blackface twin, and a nashville 400. one side of my profex ll goes to the twin and the other side into the nashville, and I wouldnt settle for anything else. just thought I throw in my two cents. God Bless.

Joe - I know what you mean. At one time I was running an Emmons p/p through a Nashville 400 and a Silverface Vibrosonic.

Big sound!

I am fortunate enough to have a 1966 Twin with factor JBL speakers. I get weak when I drive it with my Sho-Bud Super Pro (metal necks and True-Tone pickups). I need nothing but a Goodrich pot pedal and the amp's tank reverb to generate exactly the tone I want to have.

Got to chime in on the Blackface Twin. I have owned mine for over 30 years. Just put a 15" JBL with new baffle board and its just simply amazing. Would also like for all to know that this speaker was reconed by Woody Woodell from Benchcraft electronics and I have to say he did a great job. I'm a happy man? hmmmmmm

Here's mine. I think it actually started life as one of the first silver faces in '68 or '69. It was restored and blackfaced by Mark Heidman up in Owasso, Ok. Bill Terry here in Austin replaced some caps and resistors a year or two ago and quietened it down a lot.

Probably the best tone I have ever gotten with a steel is with one of my Emmons P/P's, this amp and a Boss DD5 for a little delay. Sweet, Sweet, Sweet.
