I am going to pull the pickups out of my PSG to get them potted. I have never done this before. The guitar is an MSA Classic.
Are there any simple tricks that I should know?
It looks like I will have to take out several C6 belly rods to get at the wiring harness with my soldering iron. I am debating pulling the whole harness or trying to get at the solder points while it is still installed....
Any tips would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks.<font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by Grant Johnson on 28 March 2005 at 09:09 AM.]</p></FONT>

Hard to give you real good advice without seeing the bottom of your guitar. I have generally been able to draw a wiring diagram before unsoldering anything, so I know exactly where to put the wires back. Then, you should be able to get in with a pencil type soldering iron and disconnect the pickup leads without taking the underside of the guitar apart. Put your guitar upside down in the case, on a table for easy access. Good luck! Larry J.
