Amp settings for D-10
When I play E9 I adjust my Nash 1000 EQ for a good E9 sound. When I play C6 I readjust EQ. There is a considerable difference between the two settings.
How do you guys that play live gigs on both necks deal with EQ setting for E9 and C6? Split the difference and live with it?
Do they make a dual channel steel amp with switchable channels?
Thanks,
Terry

I don't change anything. I have Lawrence 710 pickups on my Franklin and I have the amp basically set for E9th, but when I play C6th it also sounds great. The C6th tends to be a little "fuller" but I attribute that to the tuning and larger gaurge strings.
Back when I had a 71 PP Emmons with the stock single coil pickups, I played through a Twin Reverb with a 15" K130 and same thing didn't change anything for C6th.

I have a brighter pickup in my E9th neck, and a tone control on the guitar that only affects the front neck. So, I set my amp for the C6th neck and then adjust the brightness of the E9th neck at the guitar.
My E9th has a Lawrence 712.
My C6th has a George L's 12-1.

Thanks for the input guys. My Fessy doesn't have a tone control so I don't have that option.
I can't help but wonder why amplifier companies like Peavey, Webb, and Fender, etc. that cater to the specific needs and desires of the steel community hasn't designed a switchable two-channel amp.
Or is that not a desireable solution.
