I had one of those, the rack model, and one thing Peavey forgot when they designed this model. Fortunately I had it in a rack with some other units and had an I/O control rack that I built with some switching relays. The relays were double pole and switched both the input and output so it completely bypassed the units.

When I use the switch on mine it turns off the effects no matter what they are.

Joe you can use any on/off switch. I built mine from Radio Shack parts when they still dealt in eletronics.
