Synching Vibrato
Recording some overdubs today, and am double tracking octave parts on the PSG. For some reason I cant get the parts to sit together because my vibrato w/ the bar is creating a weird effect. Its almost like a phaser. Tried it w/out vibrato and it comes out pitchy sounding.
Any advice on this(besides BE A BETTER PALYER!)? Thanks in advance!

I'm afraid practice is the only solution - double-tracking is an art in itself. Make sure you have the individual parts nailed, so you're not inadvertently trying to match the pitch of one part to another as you go - hearing quickly seems like a distinctly different talent than playing quickly, in some ways. You should be able to record each part separately to the backing track, and have them match up when played back together, easier said than done.
