Edwards Light Beam pedal

Post by Richard Shelley »

Anyone have any idea who might work on or rebuild an Edwards light beam volume/tone pedal? What a hellaciously beautiful tone this thing had......when it worked!

Richard-I will agree with you on that. I had one in 1972 and it worked great for me. But I thought it was TOO sensitive for me....al Image Image

I had one in '70 and it actually cut my tone a bunch. A Hilton is far better.

I had one years ago. I hated it. When I stepped down it increased the treble along with the volume. I threw it away. I own 3 pedals. An old Sho-Bud pot pedal which is only used as a piece of nostalgia on the floor in my music room. I have a Goodrich pot pedal I use as backup. My main pedal is a Hilton that I bought this year. It is the best of the best. Absolutely no noise opr hum at all. So quiet sometimes I forget my amp is on....... Richard...............

If you can't find someone in your area, I will look at it for you.

All I request is you pay shippin' both ways and any parts if they are more than a few bucks. As many folks here on the forumn know, I don't charge labor, I do this as a small payback to the forumn and love of this instrument we attempt to master.

I don't promise that I can fix it but at least all you will be out is the shippin' in such case.

Merry Christmas,
Bill
