Steel-King

Post by Sigi Meissner »

today I got a big fat add where a new Fender amp called steel-King is introduced.
For all those who hear about for the first time:
-200 watts into 4 Ohms
-XLR line output with level control and Pre post EQ
-Effects loop and tuner output with mute
-Limiter with On-off button prevents distortion when you play hard
Three-botton footswitch included
15" JBL Speaker
21"H x 20"W x 12.5" D, 66lbs

A little picture of BE says:
The steel-King has the greatest out-of-the-box amp sound I'v heard in a long time!
(Does andybody heard him saying that?)
For all those who have already tested this new amp I'll be very thankful about your pro opinion. Cause in Switzerland I'll never have the chance to buy it and the amp is affordable (700$)and looks great

Sigi, the Fender Steel King was in the Fender room in St Louis..on display for all to try out along with one of the Carter prototype Steels..

There was also a video of Buddy playing a Carter D10 thru this amp at the summer NAMM..

BLUE JADE..in typical BE fashion and tone..

nice amp, plenty of power and tone..

Hi Sigi,
GOOD NEWS!!!! You can buy the Steel-King in Switzerland!

Fender offers a European model of the Steel-King that fully conforms to EU requirements. Its part number is 228-9506-000. I believe you should be able to order one through an authorized Fender dealer.

The Fender distributor in Switzerland can be reached at the following:

Fender GmbH
Fax: 0049 211 4792849 www.fender.de

You can search the SGF and find that Buddy really does think quite highly of this amp. The quote came directly from one of his postings.

FYI - The cabinet has a vent in the top. Exposed heatsinks have to be enclosed and ventalated to recieve a safety approval in the EU.

Best Regards,
