Hilton digital sustain

Need information On Hilton digital sustain box. Is it a good investment for steel and does it just add sustain or affect tone. I primarily use tube amps for steel. Opinions would be appreciated. Sho-Bud Pro II, Sho-Bud Professional, Black face Twin and Black face Pro. Don't know if the gear matters with the Hilton.
