Sonny Garrish Chorus Unit
Can anyone tell me which model Boss chorus unit, Sonny Garrish uses in the studio? Someone said awhile back, but I can't remember. Back in the early 90's, he got some great sounds with whatever unit it was.Thank's guys!

Guy's I know Sonny on occasion doubles his parts, but I spoke with him in the mid 90's and he himself told me, that at the time, he was using an Alesis Quadraverb. But the time period I'm refering to,the late 80's, he was using something else. And I believe it was a Boss CE-1. Bob, you can close this. Thank's to all who responded.

When i first came to town Sonny was using the original Boss chorus Ensemble. It was the big gray box. He would send one side dry and one side chorused, He would also double quite a bit. sometimes even the chorused sound. later he went the processor route . I believed he's settl;ed on the Korg A1 or is it a3?

Bruce,
I spoke w/ Sonny today,& he verifies what you say. Later on,it was a Korg A-1. After that,it was just "doubling" that gave it that sound. He said that you can duplicate the sound that you played, but you can't duplicate the hand vibrato.
