Yorksville Amp?

Post by jerry harkins »

Saw one of these for the first time.
Looks like an old one, it is a silver face tube amp. it has about 6 12ax7 tubes and a 12 inch speaker. Has anyone seen one of these?
Thanks Jerry.

I'm on shaky ground here but I believe that that is the parent company of Traynor, a Canadian company. The rep of Traynors is that they are great amps, related to Fender circuitry, and built like tanks. They are considered great alternatives to vintage Fenders, price-wise, sound-wise. But I don't know anything about amps with the Yorkville name.

Yorkville is the bass and acoustic amp division of Traynor. I almost bought one of their acoustic amps last week. The are well made and have a very good reputation. Canadian made. See their web site at Yorkville.com

Thanks Tom,
By looking on the web sight it looks like the amp was built in 1969. 20 or 25 watts.
I found it in a pawn shop I think for about
$70. Vintage amp. Could be worth a lot more.
Jerry.
