I noticed on a post that someone had an amp that had not been used for some time but was stored in a heated room. Can anyone tell me the effects of temperature change on an amp in storage. What is recomended?

Room temp and low humidity will work best.
If your amp is cold it can cause moisture to condense within the components when you bring it into a warmer, moister room. That moisture can cause rust or even short circuits.
Storing an amp in a warm moist environment can also lead to rust on internal surfaces and components.
One good piece of advice is to avoid making your steel and equipment sleep anywhere you wouldn't. Keeping equipment at moderate temperature and lower humidity is a very good practice.
