Boss Tone on the Fritz

Post by Alan Kirk »

I replaced the wheel on my Attack pot, and now the cottonpickin' Boss Tone won't work. The bypass works fine, but I get nothing after I flip the switch--completely dead.

Bring in all the usual suspects? The switch?

Advice?

Alan,
I can't think of the guy that does this
right now, but if you are still looking
for a repair person you can contact Buddy
Cage. He has had some repaired and would be able to help.
If you need his email, let me know and I'll
forward it.
Good Luck,
Bob

I think I read here that John LeMay at Miracle Audio worked on them.

I was getting ready to ship the unit off to Mike Brebes and decided to take another look at it, using a lighted magnifier. I found the leg of one capacitor touching the leg of another capacitor. Problem solved.

Thanks, all, for your assistance.
