Everything I have read suggests that all Geo.L pickups are humbuckers.
My Marlen U12 has a Geo.L 12 string, 5-tap w/switch. I can't put an amp,wall-wart or anything with a transformer within 4 feet of the pickup without hearing 60 cycle hum.
I have done a lot of testing and moving components to prove that the pickup is what puts the hum into the system. The jack on the guitar IS making contact with the changer, strings and end plates.
The Geo.L sure doesn't act like a humbucker.
Has anyone else had this problem? ......JD

Thanks Brad. I guess I'll have to tear into the guitar and see how it is wired. I just assumed that it had one coil to the 5-position switch and the other coil wired in as the out of phase element.
I have done some more tests and determined that the hum is related to the nearness of the pickup to the wall xfmr which powers the Lexicon MPX 110. I have all my stuff in a 4 space rack. I don't have the hum if I put the rack on my left side away from the pickup.............JD
