PP pickup mounting?

How are the PP Emmons pickups mounted in the guitar?.. Spring spacers?.. Solid spacers?.. Isolated from the body? I'm sure the structure of the mounting method would have an effect on the tone?

Dennis, the pickups are mounted to an adjustable mounting plate with spacers to clear the lead wires then the assembly is mounted with the 3 adjustment screws with springs so the actual mounting to the pickup cavity is with springloaded screws.

If you fit a Lawrence pickup, you do not need to use the spacers.
