I used to hate to see those VT-22's come in the shop, I thought they might weigh at least 500. I Sure feel sorry for the guy that was in shipping at Ampeg when these monsters were in production.
One thing is for sure, when they were right, they would eat a Fender twins lunch and its dessert too.

When I was recently considering shipping my 500 to a buyer, it weighed 92 lbs on my bathroom scales (with cover, casters, cords and leg switch. I decided to deliver it instead of UPS! 
.....however my scales could be wrong!
