I was rumaging in the basement for painting equipment and found my old Fender foot pedal. I hadn't seen this thing in at least 35 years; in fact I didn't think I had it any longer. The top twists from side to side (tone) and the pedal rocks for volume control. And get this, the pots are still good. If this pedal could talk; anyway, I have wrapped it air-tight in plastic and placed it with some memorabilia where I can see it. The guy that sold it to me has passed on and hey, I'm sentimental. Does anyone out there remember this type? On the footrest, in raised letters is "Fender Fullerton California".

I used one of those old Fender tone/volume pedals from about 1958 until 1980. I still occasionally catch myself trying to swivel my foot sideways to change the tone.

I believe the D'Armond version of this device was the best-known. I didn't know Fender made one - interesting!

The old Fender vol/tone pedals are very desirable, and when they show up on ebay they usually fetch between two and three hundred $. I got mine several years ago and it's my main pedal. I like to crash the bar down on a full 8 string 13th chord and get that cool Speedy West doo-wah.

I used to use one for several years. Bought it in the 50's sometime. Don't remember what I did with it, but I saved the box it came in and found it about a year ago and gave the box to Bobbe Seymour to put his Fender vol/tone control in. I remember that they were a very good volume/tone pedal.

Loved that pedal!
We used to change the Tone pot to a very low value, and the capacitor too, to get the "Speedy West" thing. I still have an Edwards light pedal that works the same way.
