Quadra Verb
Can someone please enlighten me as to the differences between the Quadra Verb & the Adverb & the Lexicons?? Is one better than the other?? Is the quadra verb for reverb only, or can it be programmed for different settings, delay etc.?? thanks John

I use a Quadraverb II (Q2)and you know, I'm not sure they still make those (?). I'm not familier with the Adverb, but the Q2 can do verbs, delays, choruses, EQ and pitch intervals and you can program combinations of all depending on the total memory used for each combo. Each Lex unit has it's own strengths depending on the model (most are also programmable) and they generally have good efx and verbs.
You might want to consider TC Electronics stuff and I've heard some really good stuff out of several of their units.

They are not in Production anymore, But I know where a new one can be found. I use an Alesis Q-20 whis is an improved version of the Q-2, has digital inputs and outputs, Built in Power supply and XLR ins and outs as well. Everybody raves about Lexicon Reverbs, The Q-20 is equal or better. It was pricey in its day, $999 list, but I got this one for $400 new at Audio Light and Musical in Norfolk, Va and they had a new Q-2 as well, still had it about a month back. These are 20 bit units, but I challenge you to be able to hear the difference between 20 and 24 bit effects processors. The older Quadraverbs were 16 bit and the brick power supply was susceptible to picking up Hum and other electrical noises. I luv my Q-20, If you can find one of these used, it is a real powerhouse and will work well in a studio enviornment. The Concert Hall 2 Reverb preset is absolutely great.I use a Quadraverb II (Q2)and you know, I'm not sure they still make those (?).
