Another Profex II question
Is there any way I can have the output of my profex go direct to a front of house mixing desk AND to my DPC750 at the same time (without just miking the speakers). If so how would I do that?
Thanks
Chris

The first thing that comes to my mind is a "passive" mixer. A passive mixer consists of potentiometers (volume controls) and resistors for isolation. Since there is no electronics involved, you can connect it in reverse (1 channel in & 2 channels out).
You could use the right and left outputs if all your programs are "mono", but that is probably not the case.

Some problems I see is that the Profex output is line level and unbalanced. You might try a direct box for this. It would give you a balanced out fot the house mix (no ground loops!) and a regular input from it back to the amp. The Berringer DI100 looks like it would do the job. If you can find one with two inputs, it will solve your other problem of mixing left and right signals from the Profex as well! Here are a couple of links, the Whirlwind one is a good one for helping understand what a direct box can do for you!

I use the Profex II with a PX 300; since the programs I use (newmans presets) are mono (I use 115 mostly - StLouis), I run out of the out puts of the Profex - one to my PX 300 and one to a direct box; also do the same except run from the Profex to the input on the mixer (plus the other output to the PX 300). These work great for me.
