DJ system for 200 people at a party

Post by Mike McBride »

I am thinking about getting a DJ system to play for crowds of up to 200 people. Can you recommend one? This is for playing CDs and doing emcee mic work.

Just about any 8 or 12 channel mixer-board and a good 200 watt power-amp will do nicely.
You need several channels for stero CD player,Stero Tape player and a couple of mics.

Personally' I've had good results with "Peavey" boards and a "CS-800" power-amp.

I'm sure you can find a good "Peavey" 12 channel with a built-in 200 watt power-amp on E-bay or better yet, here on the forumn.
