Not a steel question, but I bet some of you will have an opinion. I have a Washburn acoustic guitar which plays nicely and has an undersaddle pickup giving a reasonable acoustic sound through the PA. Bu I'd like to fit a magnetic pickup to get an electric jazz tone, preferably without doing any permanent damage. Are there any clip-ons that might do the job - remember it's an electric sound I'm after. Just to make it a bit more difficult the sound hole is oval rather than round...
Thanks.
Acoustic guitar pickup for jazz tone?

A couple of ideas come to mind. George L's has a magnetic pickup that will pop in to the sound hole. In-expensive and sounds like a magentic pickup. Maybe improve the sound by using all nickel strings. If you want that George Benson sound, use flat wound nickel.
Sunrise magnetic soundhole pickup. Adjustable pole pieces, pops in. More expensive. Probably the best magnetic soundhole pickup, IMHO.
I bet there are more.
Good luck
