Fender volume wah fuzz pedal ??

Post by David L. Donald »

I just ran across one like this in a case at my electronics tech's here.
He said he could get it running if I wanted it.

I at first thought it was a classic volume\tone with the twisting tone, but the twist is volume, and the up down is Wah.

Anyone familiar with this puppy?

If I hate the wah and fuzz I bet it could become a nice modren unit with a bit of preamp and such installed.

Hey David--I've got one. A real odd egg. Does yours have the fuzz & wah on/off switches on side pods? 'cause later they incorporated them into the pedal but it looks like they just sort of tacked them on as an afterthought at first.
Anyway, I don't actually use it. The fuzz isn't booteeky. Not real pretty. The wah is useable but there's better. The sideways volume--not real practical for steeling--stiff, fairly short throw.
I found mine in the trash room of my co-op building here. Honest! Needed the battery wires soldered. So for me it was a real score. Big, chromy, it's America! I'll keep it as a novelty show piece but I don't see it as part of any playing rig.

Yep that's it exactly.
An odd duck for sure.
Maybe a good nucleous for a better trick pedal.

Maybe a 12AX7 inside with a tone control and volume.
Good for those cold winter nights.

I would think a Leslie effect tremlo chorus would be cool too.

My tech Christoph could do anything with it.
