Where to buy JBL speakers?
I have a friend who is trying to buy two 12" JBL speakers for a 70's Twin Reverb. Is there a site on the internet that sells JBL for a reasonable price? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you. LH

I tried for a good while, and it seems the D120's are collectors items now, and bringing collectors' prices. Unless you're dead set on JBL's, try EV-12L's. I had a JBL-equipped Twin, along about '73, but I just put a pair of E-V's in another Twin, and, to me, they're warmer, less shrill on the high end, and best of all, they can be found for a lot less money! AND, they're every bit as heavy as the JBL's!!

I'm with Steve on the EVM12-L. I have a friend with a 67 Blackface Twin with them. They are awesome for guitar or steel. There is a pair for sale on the forum, at a darn great price! I also have two of the D-120F Fender/JBL's. Hands down the EVm12L are a better sound to my ear.

I believe my best sounding amp. was a 1980 Silver-Face Twin-Reverb with (2) K–120 JBL's, until my recent purchase of the ’65 Reissue Twin-Reverb Custom™ 15. Now my sound is back on top again! IMHO

I have tried a JBL D-120F in my son's Deluxe Reverb. He had an EV 12L in it. We lost head room and bass end, but the highs were really sweet. He wanted his EV 12L back. I agreed with him. I am having a JBL D-140 reconed to a D-130 by Woody Woodell, and am anxious to try it against my EV 15L. But right now, EV's are the best thing going for me in my Twins and Deluxe. You have got a super opportunity to score a great pair of 12L's in the buy and sell----what a great price!!
