Post by Mike Kowalik »

Would anyone know what model of Black Widow speaker would be in an older Nashville 400(chrome hardware)....I've looked on the speaker but don't see a model number.....

...or maybe it's finally time for glasses!!

Hi! Mike:

It should be a 1501-4. Look just past where the speaker terminals and down towards the cone and you should see a label.

I just tried to find the model number of my BW speaker NV400 and i can't see the speaker terminals. There is a board across so all I can see is a humongous magnet or voice coil or something. The model number is 07901814 if that tells anybody anything. The front of the amp says "Black Widow Speaker" but there is no name or anything on the back of the speaker. Any help?

I believe the earlier Nashville 400's came with a 1502-4. I've owned three or four of them and they all had that speaker.

From my recollection, we used the 1502-4BW from 1983 to approximatetly 1997, then we introduced the 1501-4 BW shallow basket in the Nashville 400's. There is no documentation of when the changeover occurred.
