Mic For Recording A Steel/ Part 2

Post by Paul King »

Recently I started a topic about what mic to use when recording and the placement of the mic. There were a few recommendations with the Shure SM57 being the most recommended. Today I tried the Shure SM57 and was certainly surprised how big a difference it made. I achieved a much fuller sound and I walked away much happier than before. Someone had stated the Shure SM57 mic was more forgiving than a lot of other mics. We found what works best for me to obtain a full and fat sound when recording. I sure appreciate all the advice and help from my forum family.....Paul King
