Slow down devices ?

Post by Steven Welborn »

Just got a Tascam CD-GT1. The slower the speed selected the more garbled the sound. I suspect this goes with the territory and nothing to do with the quality of the device but rather the sampling rate of the original recording. Same as frames per sec in film right?

Slowing down the tempo while NOT changing the pitch is software/processor intensive. For this function, you get what you pay for.

For a good PC application try Slowblast.

I've tried a few, both hardware and software. They all have a tendancy to get more garbled as you slow them down. The newer stuff is better.
