Music ohms in a speaker

Post by Dave Zirbel »

I meant to say "measuring", not music! Image

I have an analog multitester called a GMT-12A by GB Instruments. I would like to measure the ohms of some old Jenson speakers. Is anyone familiar with this device and how it works? It seems like it should be easy but I can't get it to read anything. I touch the contacts to the speaker terminals and the needle either does nothing or maxes out out to the far right.

Thanks
