Behringer UB1204 FX Mixer

Post by Larry R »

Anyone using this unit?
How well are the effects in the unit(Reverb, Phaser, Chorus, etc)?
Can I make several different patches with a combination of these effects?

I will be using the unit to tune on stage and practice with headphones but may incorporate it into the total sound system if it will meet my needs. Do you think it is overkill and/or should I go with a lesser model (ie Behringer UB1202 or UB802)?

Thanks

I was using a 802 to mix my ProfexII for steel and a Digitech GNX-1 for guitar into a DPC 750. Worked very well, it was nice to be able to go to the 3-band eq on the channel for tweaking. I have not tried one with built in EFX, but one of my employees tried on one a gig (for vocals) and said the EFX were kinda noisy...
[This message was edited by Dyke Corson on 09 February 2004 at 10:45 PM.]

I use the 802 at home for playing along with CDs through headphones. I had unbearable hum until I got an Ebtech Hum Eliminator.

I use the UB802 and a Boss RV3 to practice with. Computer or CD and Steel in ; headphones and/or home stereo out. Nice, compact, low priced setup.
[This message was edited by Joey Ace on 10 February 2004 at 08:09 AM.]

Like Joey I use a UB1202 for mixing my Genesis 3 to the computer, and I'm pleased with its operation. I don't have any experience with the onboard effects of the 1204, however.

Oops, I just checked, I use a UB502.
It has no effects, thus the RV-3.

I use an 802 to mix my steel and lead guitars. From there I go to a Line 6 xt, for effects and I'm totaly happy with it.
