I agree with Loren as I use the plate reverb seting also with approximately the same settings. Oddly, the RV-5 has a spring reverb setting and that is why I bought this unit. However, the spring setting sounds better with a 6 string guitar and the plate reverb sounds more lush with the steel guitar.
I also use the RV-5 with a DD-3 pedal for delay. This setup has an advantage over the RV-3 alone as it allows you to have independent reverb & delay without turning knobs. However, the RV-3 is a great unit also and can be set for a plate reverb only and used with a deal pedal for the same setup as mentioned above.
[This message was edited by Len Amaral on 31 January 2004 at 10:56 AM.]

Thanks guys !! With your help I`m getting it nice and lush. My set up is firstknob(effect) about 2:00, Tone about 8:00 Time 10:00 and plate reverb. I have to be cautious with that tone knob, my Hilton pedal might make a brighter tone. I play a Fulawka D 10 through a Vibrosonic, it sounds great. Thanks for your help. Anybody els use this RV5? Steve

I tried an RV-3 and did not care for the reverb. I got an RV-5 and found it so easy to use and get a great reverb sound! I use an older Ibanex DD:L-10 for delay. What a great combination for steel or guitar. Nice too, as some of my older Fender amps are non-reverb. The spring reverb is just awesome in this unit, really sounds authentic!!!
