SVT Ampeg bass heads

The big heavy guys with narly transformers and tubes. Anyone use em for steel? A friend of mine will sell one for $300. Thats sounds like a good deal to me. Dont know the year but is in good shape.thanks

It will cost about that much to retube it with USA made tubes!! Make sure the amp is in good working condition. Heck of a bass amp! Don't know about steel use.

I agree about the retubing costs.

If it's one of the original ones from the 1970's it should fetch a lot more than that in LA.
