High & Low Voltage?

Post by Hal Higgins »

I've noticed on some of the posts on buy and sell, that there have been some Evans pre-amps that say that they are a High or Low voltage....can anyone tell me what the difference is in the one that's high voltage as opposed to the low voltage one? Just curious!

From what I understand, the HV ones are tube type, and the LV ones are solid-state. Some players like a tube tone, and others like the solid-state.
