Mike Brown: Finish on Peavey Wolfgang neck?

Post by ajm »

I was just wondering what you use for this. It feels like it's bare wood. My guess is that it's some sort of thin polyurethane or tung oil.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Artie,
The neck of the Peavey Wolfgang is oil finished and can be maintained with lemon oil and extremely fine(0000) steel wool.

Mike;

Do you use tung oil or something else?
And if it's proprietary and you can't say I understand.

Thank you and Happy Holidays.

Thanks for that information. I really like my Wolfgang but the neck has gotten a little grungy over the last two years. It's nice to find out that I can clean it with 0000 steel wool and lemon oil.
