Profex II Error

Post by Tom Mortensen »

If I leave my Profex II on for several hours it will start flashing DSP Interface Error.
The only way to get out of it is to do a system restore.
I replaced the internal battery a few months ago.
Any ideas??

Hello Tom,
Even though the battery was replaced recently, it could be battery leak contamination to the circuit. Many times we receive used or second hand battery backed up products and the acid from the battery has done irreparable damage to the circuit board. If I had to guess, the problem is caused by board contamination.

Thanks for your reply Mike.
If it is board contamination as you suspect,
can the board be repaired or should it be changed. Are the parts available?

There are no replacement boards available, so a tech will have to make an attempt at the repair.
