I've had a couple of old Polytone amps with these in them. The tone was good but they won't handle much power. I also had an old Barcus Berry fiddle amp that had one. I think they were used in organ leslies, and Ampeg bass amps too. They don't sound nearly as good as a Black Widow in my opinion.

When I was working in a music store back in the 70's we sold the square magnet stamped steel basket eminence speakers. I don't know what size speaker you are referring to. We had 10 and 12 inch guitar speakers and a 15" bass speaker. They were just a generic budget replacement speaker, didn't handle much power, didn't sound too good or too bad but they worked in a pinch. As I recall the 10's were about $15 bucks, the 12's about $25, and the 15's around $40. Definately not in the same class as an EV,BlackWidow,JBL,etc. Hope this helps
