Peavy 1000 vs 2000

Post by Richard Gonzales »

I own a Peavy 1000 and 2000. I like the versatility of the 2000. Why did Peavy stop making them?? What is your preference and why?

Richard, I too bought the 2000 combo but I never use it as I have too many amps and can't use them all. Supposedly there are only about 160 or so world wide and production was halted because the card slot vendor stopped making them.
They truly are a very versatile amp. A computerized digital amp with the ability to change programs from any combination of effects and sounds that no other amp is capable of. These are rare birds and mine still sits in it's original box. What a shame.

Gary is correct. It's unfortunate as the Session 2000 was a "one of a kind" amp. We would be manufacturing them today if we had decided to outsource another part.
