I'm curious about the preamp-power amp-speakers setup, but I don't want to invest too much if I don't like the concept. I'd run my profex through some power amp and then into - two Peavey PR 12:s? Has anyone tried them with steel? Like I said, I don't want to spend too much, and these are both lightweight and inexpensive. But maybe someone has other suggestions?
